Our FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Logistics & Process

What’s your service area?

I proudly serve dog owners in Topsfield, MA, and most of Essex County. If you’re unsure if I cover your town, just reach out and ask!

Where does training take place?

I meet you where the "real world" happens. Depending on your goals, training takes place in your home, local parks, or on wooded trails. This ensures your dog learns to listen in the environments where they actually spend their time.

How do I pay?

I use Stripe to process payments securely. This allows you to pay via Credit Card, Debit Card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Payment is due at the time of service, and you will receive a digital receipt for your records.

How do we get started?

Every journey begins with an Initial Consultation. This is a 75-minute in-person session at your home where we’ll dive into your dog’s history, analyze behaviors, and set realistic goals.

Services & Expectations

What are your rates?

The Initial Consultation is $150. Pricing for follow-up programs varies based on the level of support and number of sessions required. You can find a full breakdown of my packages on the Training Solutions page.

How long does training take?

There is no "one size fits all" answer, as every dog and goal is different. Some clients choose intensive 4 to 6 week day-training programs, while others prefer ongoing weekly coaching. During our consultation, I'll give you a realistic timeline.

Note: Success depends on consistency and your commitment to practicing between our sessions!

Do you offer boarding or "board and train" services?

I focus on In-Home Coaching and Day Training. I believe the best results happen when the dog learns in their own environment and you are part of the process. I do not offer overnight boarding at this time.

Training Philosophy

What is your training style?

I specialize in positive reinforcement and force-free techniques. My goal is to build a relationship based on trust and communication, not fear. Having experienced the heartbreak of aversive tools with my own dogs, I am dedicated to methods that make training fun for both you and your buddy.

Do you work with aggressive dogs?

I work extensively with reactivity (barking, lunging, or fear-based responses on leash). However, for cases involving a history of severe bites or intense aggression toward people, I may refer you to a specialized behaviorist to ensure the safest and most effective outcome.

Your best bud awaits.
